This session breaks down how AI is actively reshaping the cyber threat landscape, from automated phishing and faster ransomware attacks to more advanced social engineering. Learn how AI is influencing cyber insurance requirements, what insurers are now looking for, and what your business must demonstrate to avoid denied claims and ensure proper coverage.
March 2026 Newsletter
Cybersecurity has steadily evolved from a technical concern into a leadership responsibility. While security tools, controls, and monitoring often sit within IT teams, regulators, insurers, clients, and business partners increasingly expect executives to demonstrate awareness, oversight, and preparedness. Cyber risk is now viewed as an organizational issue that requires leadership attention, not just technical execution.
As expectations rise, many organizations find themselves well equipped operationally but less confident at the executive level. The challenge is no longer whether security tools exist, but whether leadership has meaningful visibility into risk and readiness.
Working Securely on Public Wi-Fi

Remote work is everywhere, but not all networks are safe. Public Wi-Fi in airports, hotels, and coffee shops often lacks proper security, making it easier for cybercriminals to intercept data, steal credentials, or monitor activity.
What feels convenient can quickly become a risk if basic protections are not in place.
Stay secure on public networks with these essentials:
Avoid Accessing Sensitive Accounts
Do not log into banking, email, or business systems on public Wi-Fi unless absolutely necessary.
Use a VPN
A virtual private network encrypts your connection, helping protect your data from being intercepted.
Turn Off Auto-Connect
Disable automatic connections to open networks to avoid unknowingly joining unsafe Wi-Fi.
Verify the Network
Confirm the correct network name with staff. Attackers often create fake networks that look legitimate.
Enable Multi-Factor Authentication
Even if credentials are exposed, MFA adds a critical layer of protection.
Keep Devices Updated
Install updates and patches regularly to protect against known vulnerabilities.
Use Secure Websites Only
Look for HTTPS and avoid entering information on unsecured sites.
Disable File Sharing
Turn off sharing settings when on public networks to prevent unauthorized access.
Remote work does not have to increase risk. With the right habits and safeguards, employees can stay productive while keeping business data protected.
Catch of the Month:
AI Voice Cloning Fraud
Cybercriminals are now using AI-powered voice cloning to impersonate executives, managers, and even family members in highly convincing phone calls and voicemails. In these attacks, scammers replicate a real person’s voice using publicly available audio from videos, social media, or past recordings. They then create urgent scenarios such as requesting wire transfers, sensitive data, or immediate action during a “crisis.” Because the voice sounds familiar and the request feels time-sensitive, employees are far more likely to comply without questioning it.
How to Stay Safe:
Always verify urgent or unusual requests involving money, credentials, or sensitive information. Use a secondary method of communication such as calling the person back on a known number or confirming in person. Establish internal policies that require approval workflows for financial transactions and sensitive requests. Be cautious of unexpected calls that create pressure to act quickly, even if the voice sounds legitimate. Train employees to recognize these tactics and report any suspicious requests immediately to your IT or security team.
